These past couple of weekends have been so much fun. It’s been HOT and it’s been busy, but I just LOVE summer. One of my favorite things about summer is that I get to wear dresses all. the. time. Every year I say “I’m going to wear more dresses,” and the past few years I’ve been lazy about it. But this year, I made an oath to myself to scout out the cutest dresses that I will want to wear all the time. What I didn’t realize is that on this journey to find the perfect dresses, I would find THIS. The maxi romper. I’m not gonna lie, at first glance I was like “what the heck is this? I don’t know about that.” But then while walking through Charleston I got a glance of these fabulous girls walking through King Street with their maxi rompers flowing so regally behind them. That’s when I realized I needed one. No, not wanted, NEEDED.

So last weekend I strolled around one of my favorite shopping centers in Raleigh, NC, Cameron Village, in search of the perfect maxi romper. And lo and behold, there it was. I walked through the doors of fab’rik, pushed back the hangers, and angels were singing. There it was. It basically lifted off the rack and just fell into my hands. Too dramatic? Don’t act like you know exactly what I’m talking about. Now I need more. I don’t want these to ever go out of style.

Above I linked the romper (I was unable to find the fab’rik link, but it’s a working link nonetheless!) along with a few similar ones that I though were just lovely. I also linked a few similar sandals (mine are a few years old) and a few pairs of Tory Burch sunglasses. These are my favorite sunglasses in the world. The day I lose or break them I just might will cry.

What do you think of this trend? Love it? Hate it? Not sure yet? I encourage you to try one on…I bet you’ll LOVE it!

You’re the sweetest!!! Thanks so much ?? Definitely checking out your blog!!

  1. You look fab!

I did try one on. It was really pretty, but I began to wonder how I was going to get in and out of it when out of the house. And my courage failed me, and I put it back on the rack.

      Thank you!

Haha, yes mine zips all the way up to my neck and it’s a little harder than it should be just to go to the bathroom. ? So that’s definitely something to think about when buying one.

  2. Love it!! This is definitely something I would wear; such a gorgeous addition to any girl’s wardrobe! Loved the images you created also for us as readers! I totally get the dramatic ‘clothes falling into your hands’ thing; it always happens to me! Haha😂💜
